I would guess that the MPG would only be affected by your right foot. As for engine life span, no affect in the threads I've read, and everyone seems to love it.

+1 there is no actual power gain with the sprintbooster. what it does is that it anticipates by opening the throttle body sooner. say your foot is 1/2 way down the pedal, the throttle body would normally be 1/2 way open but with the sprintbooster its more than 1/2 way open. you probably wouldnt feel too much of a difference if the driver floors it from the get-go constantly though. but yes the feel is night and day with the sprintbooster.
