Looking good. BTW for people who managed to get the lights from Heiko or from my new supplier are you getting Hella boxes or BMW boxes. I know when I bought my lights from the first GB a few moons ago I got BMW boxes but I was surprised to see Hella boxes. Heiko always said that Patrick sold Hella seconds and so I just want to make sure if Heiko was pulling a fast one or what.
Bruce,
Are you guessing that BMW boxes would signify definite first quality, while Hella Boxes could be 1sts or 2nds?
I would think that any light that didn't pass inspection would have some note on the box as an indication and housings that leaked wouldn't even be allowed as a 2nd.
But who knows how Hella operates.

I'm not suggesting anything here, I'm simply curious to know what others have got. I'm just surprised that Hella are allowed to sell BMW OEM items to the public directly. BMW normally restrict all their suppliers and dont allow sale to the general public. Have you ever tried to contact Tyco to buy a plug they manufacture for BMW.

I believe that a BMW box would indicate that the 3rd party supplier purchased the light from a BMW source and not directly from Hella. I can't see Hella selling a BMW labeled part to a 3rd party. I would think their BMW labeled stock would be segregrated for sale to BMW retailers only.
I do think that a BMW labeled box would always be first quality though.
Just my opinion...

I'm surprised that Hella can sell these to anyone besides BMW. Its bound to have a BMW part number on the items inside the boxes - or do they not?
Good point. Are suppliers such as Heiko and others really buying directly from Hella? Why would two boxes labeled as Hella or BMW even exist? Should just need one if BMW is the only direct purchaser.

And what about people who got this from Heiko? Did they get Hella boxes or BMW boxes.
