As I have been interested in getting one of these splitters and it appears others are, I wanted see just how many would want to purchase one. I am thinking either painted or carbon fiber.

Please vote yes if you are interested in getting one and add your name to the list below:

may want to contact vendors first for some info on material used, production to shipment time, and estimated cost might help members make a decision....

Agreed on that one. Just want to see how many individuals we can get in line and see what type of pricing they can give.

John at EuroRev put a feeler out last October on possibly making a Hartge replica http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=63869&hl= .. There wasn't much interest at the time, so hopefully this time there is... as mentioned, I'll need to know price and specifics before fully commiting..

I reached out to John over at EuroRev yesterday and here are the details for the splitter:

Cost
$400 UnPainted
$500 Painted or Carbon Fiber

Construction
Fiberglass or carbon fiber (Made in USA)

Delivery Time
Two Months
1-Month to make mold and ensure proper fit
1-Month to ship out

Payment
Half refundable deposit is required to ensure the splitter will be made

I will check today to see if we can get a volume discount if more than ten people choose to purchase.

Obviously, I am unable to take part in your GB, (and I am buying a Hartge front splitter from Hartge) so my question is: what does a "real" splitter cost in the US?

I believe somewhere around $1000 USD.
