Guys, what do you think of the Digital Designs 1508 woofers as apposed to the Kickers? I have an eBay seller who has the JL Audio XD600/6 Amp @ $380.00, Metra 71_9003 @ $12.00 and Scosche VW03B @ $3.00 along with these speakers.

This will be my last post on this as I don't want to continue to cloud Technic's thread with this. The Digital Designs subs are probably too deep for the spot they need to be installed in under the seat, aren't they.

If you are creating your own harness then remember:

- you need to transfer the MOST connector from the OEM Quadralock to the Metra Quadralock
- you need to transfer the two 12-pin sub connectors in the OEM Quadralock to the Metra Quadralock

Good morning Technic,
Please put one aside for me to go along with the Quadralock interface for the CIC once they are both ready to ship.

Thanks!

How did you get on Georgieb? i've got the standard hifi with CIC retrofit and looking to upgrade the sound, at the minute i did the quick fix bass at the quadralock connector but the sound is still not great

Sdt777,
I also did the patch fix at the quadralock to get the woofer under the front seats to work and you're right, the sound still isn't great. Based on advice from Technic and Bruce and with the use of two custom harness assemblies from Technic, I will install a 6 channel Amp in the trunk and change the two woofers to Rainbows. As $$$ becomes available I may also change the speakers in the doors and the rears at a later time. I've got a few other mods in process right now but should get to this in the next 2-4 weeks. I'm also waiting on custom harnesses to become available from Technic.

I'll let you know how my install goes and will likely start a thread in the forums to show my results.

Cheers!

Hey technic.

I have a 2010 535i CIC navi all that good stuff. But no L7. I'm looking at getting a JBL MS8 or just a PNP Amp for my Car. It comes with the 10 Speaker HiFi I believe, not exactly sure if it has a amp. The sound quality is honestly bad. The volume is fine for my tastes, but the sound space it not open and crisp enough for my taste.

Do you have any suggestions on where I should start? I understand the speaker upgrade is a good choice, but how about a DSP or an AMP?
