Excuse my ignorance (new E60 owner here) but what exactly is this product?? If I bought it, how would I put a playstation in or a DVD player in?? Would it mount in the trunk and just connect to this device in the trunk and I can control it w/ the provided remote?? Apologize for not knowing ANYTHING, but this seems really cool and if I knew exactly what it was doing and how I would use it I might be really interested in joining the GB

My Ride: 535d Sport in Carbon Black / high gloss shadow line and beige leather / dark poplar with professional nav, bluetooth phone prep, CD changer, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, servotronic steering, folding mirrors, heated comfort seats, TV, extended voice control and Logic 7 hifi.
If all I want to do is enable playback of analogue / digital TV (which my car has, OEM) whilst on the move, is this unit overkill? Do you guys have a solution for just that - my other half has started to ask to watch TV whilst I'm driving...

Hi
The mods are $550. I was trying to set up a group buy for the units, but I can't seem to get everyone together on this. If someone wants to try and get everyone together please let me know.
We are doing a group buy on our E60, E61, E63 and E64 and new E90 RGB unit.
This unit will work on all the new I drive cars regardless if you have Nav or NOT.
The unit has 2 inputs, 1 for DVD and 1 for backup camera. The unit auto switches to backup camera when you put the car in reverse. You can also use this unit to add an aftermaket Nav to a car that doesn't have one. We carry the BMW Aux sound adapter if you need or you can use an FM modulator for sound. Yes the unit has video in motion. The output of the unit is currently NTSC only so you must purchase a DVD player that is NTSC-Pal switchable.
The price structure will be as follows.
This group buy ends Aug 4, 2005 at 12 midnight.
1-5 units= $550
6-10 units=$500
11-15 units=$475
16-20 units= $450
1 Year NO QUESTIONS ASKED WARRANTY.
Picture Quality and Price is the best available on the market. We will beat any price on any RGB unit
Full instructions provided.
We have been in business for over 35 years. Click here to see our store.

Hi 6spdMan
No one is SOL. I discussed this with Hobi. He is going to use the unit untill the situation is corrected and we will then exchange it for a PAL unit. If you can purchase a DVD player that is NTSC-PAL switchable then you can use this unit no problem. Feel free to call me at 718-763-7367
thanks Dominic of www.TandNav2Go.com
Not to beat a dead horse, but does this mean that those of us, like Hobi, who live in PAL land are SOL? Do you anticipate a resolution of the PAL situation within a reasonable time frame, ie before the Group Buy ends?
Cheers,

Dom, I understand this unit features video in motion, but I don't need all those other bits of inout functionality - the car came with TV, I can fit the BMW reversing camera (if it ever comes out!) and don't want to play playstation or DVD ;-) Is there a simpler (read: lower cost) option to just enable video in motion?
