I received the ACM kit this morning. It should have been on Wednesday but no one home to sign off the packet. Anyway, there is a part list in the packet and I checked all the part according to the part list. One item is missing. There are 2 installing instructions in the part list: 0418005 and 0420167. I only found 0418005 in the packet which is the operation instruction. I really need the installation instruction" 0420167. I had sent an email to Justin and asked for the missing installing instruction.

Please check your kit against the part list to make sure all the parts are included.

Haha, don't worry. Thanks for supporting though.

Actually, I still haven't installed mine yet. Not 100% sure I'm going to, due to high costs. I figure it won't be too hard to sell due to the low group buy pricing we got.

If I do install it, I'm probably going to get it installed at EuroRev here in LA.

What video sources are you guys going with? I'm leaning towards the Kenwood ccd-2000 camera and the Valor Halfdin DVD player.

After reading the installation instruction many times, I am pretty sure that coding is needed for the car without aux-input. I had asked Fred this question but he has not responded yet. I am thinking of getting the aux-input install first before doing the ACM myself. I will ask dealer the price to install and code the aux-input, hopefully, not too expensive.

If I have the iPod adapter, does that mean I have the Aux input?

you can actually go for any aftermarket dvd changer and camera...i installed a panasonic dvd changer (for 8 discs) which works fine and the rear cameras were actually transfered from my old e46 and they look and work great...

so, don't worry about the gadgets that you guys plan to installed...they'll work great!

Did you install the ACM yourself or else ? If you did it yourself, how did you remove the trims around the bottom of the 2 doors (driver side - front and rear) and how did you remove the back seat (driver side) to let the wiring harness to go through the trunk ?

Thanks.

just pull out the part inside the body trim (not the side step underneath the doors that has the bmw/ m logo, but the one on top of the carpet)...it's locked by a coupe of plastic clips that mount to the body on top of the carpet flooring...fyi, i have load-through rear seats system, so i didn't have to take the seats out. i just pulled the side part of the backrest to access through the boot...
