Hi everyone,
With all the interest in video modules for the iDrive screen, I contacted Roveractive(Justin) on eBay. If we get 5 or more people, he will discount the ACM unit for $600 w/ free shipping (thats $100 off total). Here is the item:
ACM
It seems that the ACM unit is the best way to go, since it's an OEM BMW part and won't cause warranty issues and has full iDrive integration.
I'm planning to use a DVD, iPod and rear camera with it.

It doesn't include IPOD connector, only AUX and Video inputs. its not a easy mod, you have to remove lot of things. especially door planels if you want rear camera.

Coolguy,
Would you recommend the NavTV2Go module instead? I've read on these forums that it has some quality issues as well as warranty issues. Also, is there an easier method to install a rear view camera?
If not the ACM unit, which one would you recommend? I just want the method with the least hassle.
Thanks for the help,
mike

Unfortunately for Video+RearCAM option, ACM is the ONLY best option.. but the amount of work involved, I had to drop it.
I am leaning towards Dension ICE 500, which has USB 2.0 (so you can plug std. pc hard drives), IPOD connector, Aux too. (No Video option, but you buy an extra video connector to play videos from ipod only). This is the easiest mod which only uses 6CD changer connector in glovebox. so its pretty much plug and play. This will cost you $450. It has every audio option possible except DVD video option

The iPod adapter for the new LCI can you hook up pc hard drives? I read in the manual you shouldn't but is it possible?

I believe forum member, Rudy has an 80gb HD hooked up to it. I'm currently using a 4GB USB stick. It works just as fast for me, not sure about larger disk drives.
