Hello,
I recently got a "Reverse Light Malfunction" message in the idrive. I have replaced the affected tail light, driver side inner, but error still exists and tail light does not come on. Brake light and turn signal does work. I know there are three fuse boxes in the car, but unsure about which one holds the fuse responsible. I also haven't ruled out there's a module that is borked for some reason. Anyone else run into similar issue?

ok, I did replace the tail light assembly itself. I may have to dive back in there and look at the wiring/pins. Is that what you are saying?

I would swap the bulb with the other side. If the problem does not follow, I would swap the entire assemblies. Also, check the contacts for oxidation or burn marks.
