just come back from testing the 5GT.
The 1 I test was a 535GT single turbo with 19" sport wheels.
1st the ride is very good if you love driving but if you planning to hire a person to drive it and you sit in the back then itis abit ruff.
the handling on corners is great for such a big and heavy car 1.9 tons, its like riding on rails.
Love the sport+ it dose have some power and the car is alot stiffer when pushed.
There are alot of noise inside the car compare to my E60. This is because it dose not have any B pillar and sound from outside dose come in alot easier.

Over all I like it but the car is abit big for my family.
E60 is just the right size, not to small and not to big.

1 thing bad about the demo car is the 19" wheels which BMWHK should change to smaller wheels for a better ride.

Do folks actually buy BMWs for that where you live?

Being driven in a BMW is fairly common in China, so yes, they do. BMW even makes a long wheelbase version of the 5 series specifically for the Chinese market.
