With BMW USA's President admitting the GT thing was not doing as well as expected and that the lack of wagon sent customers away from the marque to Mercedes, is there any news about the 5-series wagon making a return to the US Market?

My perfect car is a 5-series 535 wagon with xdrive and manual transmission. It's not so much to ask for!!!

Mine would be a M550d xDrive even if that means no manual, I just want that tri turbo engine. I met Mr Willisch at Bimmerfest and asked him about the F11 he said it was too late to bring it over even as the LCI as federalizing it would take too much time but they would likely bring whatever replaces it over. Meanwhile have a F31. Oh no manual for that either.

Terrible. They're not going to sell too many 4 cylinder automatics. At least not to enthusiasts of the brand. And then they'll say "see? nobody wants wagons" which isn't true at all -- it's just their poor support of the style. No wagons ever to test drive, no choices in what you can get...

They appear to have canceled manual transmission world wide on xDrive. BMW is just a mass market automaker now. No differentiation between BMW and Nissan really.

Also - what does that mean LCI? So we'll have to wait for the next generation of 5 series to get a wagon... and of course by then BMW probably will have no manuals at all.
