My Ride: Alpine White F11 520D SE 2013
Ah?it?s good to be back! I?ve posted a few times before, back when I had my E60. I then had an E90 and now I?ve just ordered my F11.
Alpine White (I?m nearly 40 so guessed that this is the last chance I?ll get to actually want to drive a white car?get it out of my system while I can)!
Black Dakota leather
Business Navigation/media
Lumbar support
Electric folding mirrors
Automatic tailgate
Sun protection glass
I got a hefty discount for going in to the dealer, test driving and buying on the same day so now I?m just counting down the days. Dealer (Dick Lovett, Swindon) says around 6 weeks, I?ll have a tentative delivery date in about a week.
Can?t wait!!

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
The wagons are pretty cool, especially when you have a family and the choices are: 5 series wagon or mini van (otherwise known as automotive castration)

My Ride: 2011 BMW 328xi Sports Wagon w/ premium, sound, nav, ipod, manual trans
Wagons were the most popular style of car in the United States until the 1980s. Now stupid, fat, lazy, and ignorant Americans decide (when they're not busy eating themselves to death) to buy SUVs which are heavier, costlier, less safe, handle poorly, and have less interior cargo room than the same size wagon.
BMW wagons handle exactly the same as the sedans and coupes. They're fun to drive, they get better gas mileage than the X3/X5, the 3er wagon has more cargo space than X3 (5er > X5), etc. They're a brilliant, brilliant car. Whether you have kids or not. Trunks (boots) are useless. The hatch makes the car useful when you need to haul gear or baggage or whatever else.
