Congrats! The F11 is a wonderful car. What engine is it - 520d?

The wagons are pretty cool, especially when you have a family and the choices are: 5 series wagon or mini van (otherwise known as automotive castration)

Wagons were the most popular style of car in the United States until the 1980s. Now stupid, fat, lazy, and ignorant Americans decide (when they're not busy eating themselves to death) to buy SUVs which are heavier, costlier, less safe, handle poorly, and have less interior cargo room than the same size wagon.
BMW wagons handle exactly the same as the sedans and coupes. They're fun to drive, they get better gas mileage than the X3/X5, the 3er wagon has more cargo space than X3 (5er > X5), etc. They're a brilliant, brilliant car. Whether you have kids or not. Trunks (boots) are useless. The hatch makes the car useful when you need to haul gear or baggage or whatever else. |
