BMW 5 Series Touring 2012 - Rear Air Suspension Failure
Hi there,
I have a BMW 530d M Sport Auto 2012 and the rear air suspension is not working. The whole of the backside of the car is very low down (the wheel fenders are nearly touching the wheels), unlike the front portion of the car which seems to be at the normal ride height.
There is no sound of air hissing when I stop the car, so I don't think the suspensions airbag has been damaged. Maybe the electrics have failed?
Let me know if anyone has had similar issues.
Thanks,
Thomas

My Ride: F11 520D touring with electric towbar and air suspension
Hi Thomas. I'm sure you've got this sorted now, but in case anyone else wants to know:
The air suspension at the rear of the touring includes two air springs and a compressor. It's probably the compressor that's faulty, but BMW always recommend renewing all three parts at the same time.
Hope this helps someone.
