I am a bit confused, asides the cosmetics, the new 550 and m5 are the same performance wise? Well the m5 is "tuned" but I am 1000% positive tune will be available for the 550... Sooo why bother spending extra $ on the m5

The main difference I'm sure will be the transmission ala the 335 tuned vs the m3, along with beefier components to handle the extra 178 HP, brakes.. Etc...

One would think that BMW would bring out the new M5 with more than 578 HP! This is 71 horsepower more than the previous car which I think will leave the door open to cars like GM to compete with BMW's M5 allover again. I cannot believe that BMW engineers cannot get more horsepower from a twin-turbo V8! This car should have at least 600+ horsepower and same with torque.....
