Am I missing something? Is the new car going to be all wheel drive? If not, I cannot see it breaking out of the 12s especially not on street tires.

This is pretty easy to estimate.

The 550i is trapping 106-108mph with 400HP. Adding around 160HP will usually bump the trapspeed by 13-15mph. Being conservative, i will take the 106 + 14 = 120mph. So the new M5 should be trapping between 120-122mph. Now if you know the 60ft you can calculate the ET 1/4.

A car with 4200-4300lbs will have a 1.9-2.0 60ft. So if we take the 1.9 60ft (Assuming LC will help) with 121mph the F10 M5 should be running 11.7-11.9.

I would say at sea level with 70F Temps, the M5 should be seeing 11.80 at 121mph.

C&D (who in fairness always seem to come up with times nobody else can match, probably due to those somewhat bogus "corrections") apparently got 12.0 @ 122.

Pretty impressive, and the guesses here were pretty good!
