Xenon HID headlight assembly options

2013 550i xDrive with xenon HID- I have to replace the driver side heat light assembly due to a crack and moisture getting in and causing Turn signal malfunctions. Used is $1k!! What other options should I be considering? Reman/aftermarket?

You could remove the cover and replace, but that's a lot of work + cost. If you buy Genuine, that would be $1,200 but you can also use Hella for a lot less.
