I had hub rings before and had no issues.

Forgestar wheels do require hub rings, which are provided for you with the wheels.
Hubcentric rings are perfectly safe, as long as you get the right size.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Hub rings are forbidden on all BMW cars! You'll never get the wheels balanced.

it is very hard to make a good fit hub ring.
I was very lucky on my ACS type 4 wheels with the 4 hub rings that I had and did not get any problems.
Over the yeas I have seen many cars with hub rings that do not fit and have problems at high speed eg in the 100km to 120km
