Hi Guys:

Brand new to this forum.

My white F10 is currently on a boat somewhere between Germany and the USA! I'm excited!

I really like the look of the 'white line' rear lights and want to get a set but they are not available in the USA.

I have a friend in England who can buy them for me and ship them over but I am concerned about 're-programing', especially as I would like to install them myself. According to a post by 'lukeswarm', his dealer in England told him that the car would need re-programing if the white lines were installed. I am somewhat technical but I can't work out why this would be so.

Anyone have any knowledge on if the car would need re=programing and why?

Thanks guys - Roger

Oh interesting.

I would be interested in learning why and how does the light light differently if it requires programming. That's rather interesting to me.

The lights are plug and play, took me 30 mins each side.

No coding or reprogramming required for white line, straight swap for original lights. might want to get some new plastic screws for the bootlid lining though, some of them are a pain to get out without destroying them. https://5series.net/forums/public/st...fault/fcuk.gif

Hello Scottish John, I like the look of your car with the whiteline taillights!! Can you tell me if the horizontal lightrods are as bright (day and night) as the original red taillights which came with the car?

Thanks in advance!

I'm curious to see how these turn out. I have never been a fan of Alteeza style lights but these look pretty sweet on the F10.
