Question 535i Muffler Delete

I am looking to either mod my stock exhaust or replace it with an aftermarket setup mostly to get a deeper, more throaty exhaust sound. I was hoping to get some opinions on muffler delete vs. custom exhaust, or different aftermarket exhausts that are out on the market. I am leaning more towards just doing a muffler delete, so anyone who has had this done to their 535i please let me know!

I am thinking about doing the same. My wifes F10 N55 is straight pipe with DP's, a bit loud for my liking. My buddys E90 N54 with the same exhaust setup is a bit better, not sure why.... maybe he still has resonators.

My plan at the moment is to do the PE (BMW Performance Exhaust) modification, it converts your stock muffler into a PE clone-ish. Pull exhaust, cut big window in top, replace interior perforated pipe with solid pipe, weld up hole, reinstall muffler. I am hoping it sounds like the 335's Ive heard with it done. Sounds understated until you start spooling

Problem is, i havent come across anyone who has done it on an e60 535, every google search turns up 335 stuff.
