...that is the question!!
Hi Guys - Grateful for your thoughts. I am about to order a 520D Sport:
Carbon Black
18 inch wheels
Pro Sat Nav
Pro Audio
Ambient Lighting
Electric Folding Mirrors
Split rear folding seats
I live in the Republic of Ireland and the roads here are pretty poor! I have owned both the E39 SE and the E60 Sport in the past, I found the ride on the E60 just way too hard and this was part of my reason for getting rid of it. My dealer has indicated to me that if I was to order VDC (which in my mind would give me the best of both worlds) that I would be the first person to do so in Ireland! He thought I'd be wasting my money and should go for the M Sport trim with the standard suspension. This contradicts all that I have read in the press and on the usual forums as I understood that it improved the drive as well as the ride. As no cars have it in Ireland I cannot test it. Grateful for your views?
Thanks

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Hi oadavies and welcome to the Forum
18" wheels are the absolut minimi wheel size for the F10, but they'll do.
Very comfy with the "SE" model.
Go for it and forget about the M Sport package.
Nice options but I also strongly recommend you choose the PDC,
the F10's outlines are very hard to see from inside of the car.
Best of luck!

VDC - definitely! Most reviews state you need it. The SE F10 will ride better than the E60 M sport I'm sure, but most reviews state it transforms the car. Never trust a dealer, 'cos he wants to flog you a car he's got in stock!
