Yes I am wondering how it runs against an E60 M5. It is a good deal greater than the F10 M5's torque.

Congrats on your order. I wish they made a dinan that made that much torch and hp for the e60.

You just can't get that kind of gain from a NA engine. That is why I didn't do performance mods on my E60 550. The gains are so small so I didn't see the value. You go spend a lot of money on performance mods on not get more than about an extra 30-40 bhp.

Tune with FI equals a lot more power. But nothing sounds more beautiful than a great NA engine at wide open throttle.

So you took the big plunge, Scott! Use it in good health. You forgot to add a Valentine 1. You'll need it. One small item, HUD is great and not expensive. Consider adding it to your list.
Where did you do the deal?
I am in Beijing, coming back on Dec. 6. I'll call you then to chat. March is going to seem soooo far away. Hahaha. Cheers and don't obsess,
Lee

Oh yea, my M is waiting for you

Thanks Lee. I am getting no more options. Dinan Stage 2 and ARS saw to that ($6K between them). I have driven cars with HUD and I am not the biggest fan (call me a dinosaur

Can't wait to drive the E60 M5. We will have to see which car is faster once I get mine. Same horsepower but: (1) E60 is lighter; (2) F10 has a ton more torque. My guess is that that F10 550x Drive with Dinan Stage 2 will blow the doors off the E60 M5 up to about 100 mph (4 wheel drive traction makes for a very strong start as does the 580 ft-lbs of torque) at which point the M5 will catch up and pass. The V10 is such a killer motor at super speeds and high RPMs.

Congrats! F10 550i xDrive is a fantastic car.
If you miss e60's handling then you may also be interested in Dinan's performance suspension system:

Thanks! I am aware of the Dinan sport suspension for the 550. I will start off with the OEM sport suspension and see if I need more.

Congrats sdg1871

A very, very nice car ordered.

But if you drive at all in traffic jams the acticive cruise control is a must.
I have read so much good about it. Consider.

I had to stop the option spending somewhere and I like to do my home driving. No doubt that is a really cool option
