My Ride: Titanium Gray 550i, Cold Weather Package, Premium Sound Package, Sport Package, Shadowline trim, Parking Distance Conrol, Xenon, Adaptive Headlight Control, Navigation System, Satellite
So I received a call from my local BMW Dealer yesterday offering to test drive the F10 550..I calmly agreed to it
First word that came to mind when I saw the car was "luxury". It also has some great lines to make it a sport sedan and an Mtech kit is a MUST! For it to have a sport package, the F10 sits really high compared to the E60(with sports package)so coilovers is MANDATORY! Aesthetically, in addition to the car sitting like a 4x there were some items that I absolutely hate(yes, there are pictures my visual aid fanatics): the chrome on the handles and the grill, the silver blade next to the fog lamps, the plastic eyebrow on the headlamps. And there were also some items that I absolutely like: The body lines, I noticed a nice change on the shape of the shark fin, the much needed dual exhaust for the 550, the interior, with a convenience package, you no longer have to insert the key, to start the car. And here are my favorite items: the side view cam(now you're able to see if you'd hit a curb pulling in to an establishment), the top view cam for you parallel challenged parkers the cup holders, the steering wheel, SAT, and the "comfy seats" but wait, I actually have my ultimate ultimate favorite item..wait for it..wait for it..a lightning fast NAVIGATION SYSTEM YES, IT'S VERY VERY FAST..faster than Dbae's M5
The DRIVE:
The F10 550 is definitely a very capable car. I stepped on the gas gave it a squeeze and this car takes off, very little or no lag at all! Jumped in the freeway and this 400 hp beast will get you to 100 in 5.3 seconds..not that I'm watching my chrono The car sits high but it can definitely negotiate a fast and sharp turn! Overall for me, the ride was very comfortable, I couldn't hear the growling V8 and ironically, kinda took away the feeling of a driver's car BMW has given us . I say give it some time and who knows you might get used to this. Lastly, an aftermarket coilover, an Mtech kit, and a nice set of 20s will make this F10 a one BADASS ride
PEACE!!

very nice write up kuya! you were right about the front end though. I'm not feeling the oversize kidney grills, headlights and front bumper. But with that being said, i can't wait to see what the mtech kit is going to look like. thanks for the review kuya! see you tonight

I didn't need convincing.
I'll get a F10 550 or F10 M5 when my lease runs out in March 2012. I really want the M5 but the wife and I will be upgrading to a 2bedroom in Manhattan and there may go my extra $$$ for a M5. But we'll see.

Thank you frank for the review and pics
But I have to disagree with you on one thing, Picture 7. That is one ugly mother F***ing steering wheel . I sure hope the sports steering wheel will look much better. But the Shark fin looks badass, like a REAL SHARK FIN
