Ricracing,

Do you (or any of you that are running NON-RFT's on a late model 5 Series) ALSO have a spare in the trunk? Or are you going "naked"?

Thanks,
Mark

I am driving E60 520d with regular tires after runflats were too old to use. Don't have a spare in the trunk and it has been about 50000kms. Not a good idea actually...

I will pick up my new 525d next week and it will come with 18" runflats, hopefully a good brand.

Not naked, of course. Chemical/electrical spare in the trunk.

Currently have a 2009 530D SE with 17" 245/45 runflats and they make the ride very hard. Im currently putting the spec together for a replacement 520D Touring (dropping a couple of engine sizes to save the cost on fuel after the pump prices rises) but you cannot un-select runflat tyres from the configurator will ask at the dealer. Will definately add VDC as it has three modes Sport, Normal & Comfort although at over £ 940 its an expensive option to get the ride right dont you just love BMW!
