Fantastic shots! Thanks for sharing.
The new F10 is a very well sorted out design ... it looks very handsome and elegant, but not as sporty (yet).
I know I'm biased, but I think the E60 holds up looking very well in this side-by-side comparison. Thinking back to the launch of the E60 (I was not a big fan at first), I do remember thinking how dated and old the E39 immediately looked then. Not so with the E60-to-F10 transition.
Long live the E60!!!

I believe that the F10 is a bit of a return to the E39!
Call me crazy if you want!
And i think that standing side by side, the E60 looks very dated now!
Well not in comparison with other car brands, but as a direct comparison to the new "five"!
Altough i don´t the F10 that much, i think that if it is lowered and has a nice set of wheels, it looks very good!
But bmw´s are kind of loosing that "badass look"...

I don't think the E60 looks dated. As a matter of fact, I think it actually looks more futuristic than the F10, if anything. The one thing that the E60 does lack, that the F10 has is the "swoopiness" - those voluminous wheel wells, that certain "fatness"... well, I guess it IS fat, considering how heavy it is and all
j/k but yes, I actually love them both now and I'd say neither really looks newer or older by enough margin to be declared the clear winner in my opinion. As far as I'm concerned, I think BMW could've been selling both of them at the same time.

Rear looks like a car made from Japan. Personally speaking I was a E39 lover. E60 came out and I though it was rubbish.. my comments were (" I will never buy one of those")... a few years on ... I have a 530 E60 and loving it. I don't like the exterior.. Prefer the 7 series nose.. or even the X1. However throw some new rags on and the F10 will be the dogs dangly things with tinsel on.
Still..BMW don't have a problem shifting them!
