Pics in AMS online from today

We have seen the pics, but they were published today in yet another article about the future of BMW, and they are also higher resolution than what we've seen so far, so I figured they were worth a repost.
Enjoy and let's hope we will also see the M-pack soon!

My Ride: 535d M-Sport '06 Plate - Carbon Black - Black Leather - Pro Sat Nav - Logic 7 - HUD - Bluetooth - Privacy Glass - 172M 19" Alloys - Heated Seats - PDC - Adaptive Headlights - Extended Voice Control - Paintshield Extended - M5 Boot Finisher - Bright White LED Internal Lighting - Dension Gateway 500 Ipod/USB/Aux Integration
Still plain, still dull.
Although, followed an F01 730d on the Motorway yesterday and it really is growing on me. Didn't like it at all when the images first popped up on here. I like the fading brightness effect on the rear lights when they're on.
So maybe if this is close to the F10 then it may grow on me over time. But right now it's growing on me like a horrible rash.

Look at the rear tyres. Looks like 22" and 18" in the front ! Not that good rendering I think.
And the white eyebrows on the headlights . . . what are those ?
Really hope AMS-renderer are wrong about them. They just look like a bit of white cheap plastic.
What I really like is the hood. Looks like the sides on a whale shark.
I?m also waiting for the M-shark-pack
The rear on the wagon looks very clean. Nice

looks ok...bmw is playing it safe with their designs i guess following the outrage over bangle's designs.
i find the lower front, below the kidneys and headlights, to be REALLY boring looking...maybe even odd (ferrari did the same thing to the 458 italia, its not a good look)...its just screaming for a mtech kit.
and why are the exhaust pipes on one side? again, boring and dated looking.
on the plus side, the interior pics that ive seen look awesome.
looks like its gonna be a buy when they add a mtech kit to it, which by past indications comes in the 2nd or 3rd model year.

In my view the front bumper in the standard version looks exactly as boring as on the E60 (or the E39 or the F01 or the E65 for that matter...). Thats just the way they do it. Same with the exhaust pipes - I think its only Audi that puts exhaust pipes on basic 2.0L models on both sides of the bumper. Which some people find ridiculous (I actually like the look but am not very keen on a fake second pipe on my 2-liter car).
Bottom line: what we see on the pics are standard cars with small engines and not many extras. They are not supposed to look any more sportier than this.
What I really like though is the balanced sillouette and proportions, a mixture of E39, E90 and a bit of F01. I think this is the shape that a BMW should have. The E60 I think was a bit neglected in that sense - it has to be lowered so that the rear end does not stick up in the air and the rear tyres don's seem undersized. That was never the case with an E39 for example.
Can't wait to see it live...

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
If the AMS pics are correct (and I hope so) I definitely want one. I like it, even though I agree with Pipper - it desperately needs M-tech kit to make the front fascia work well. Overall it is a very nice evolution from the E39/E60/F10, the E60 was much more drastic a change than this is.

Have just read the New AMS-magazine.
Great news and pics of the new 5.
I might even say it looks better tan the E60 (oups )
Official pics will be released on november 23 and the real car will be out in march 2010.
The 535i will have 306hp and 540Nm.
The new M5 is just been tested at N?rnburgring and it is said to have a V8 with at least 550hp
About the annoying white eyebrows. They will probably be nearly the same as on the 5-GT.
A very strange design. What where BMW thinking ?
Am I the only one that hate them ?
Pics of 5GT:
If they were softly lighted, or in silver, or with leds. But white . . . I don?t know . . .
