Picked up my new 535d MSport last week, replacing a similar E60.
After a week, impressions are that the handling on Adaptive Drive is really good - in Normal ride is better than on my E60 with non run flats - and the car is much quiter as well, less wind noise and quieter engine with less diesel clatter. I also think steering feel is much improved over the demo cars I tried in July; I chose not to have Active steering as I felt that the handling at speed was unnatural, especially on turn-in.
New combox is amazing, full IPod integration with a standard cable, and it displays album artwork for each track. SatNav with full postcodes, and you can just say a street name and town name and it loads it up - then offers to show you pictures using Google Maps.
HUD much improved, with more info, sharper display, and now height adjustable - so my wife can see the display as well.
Overall, as a drive and for comfort, it really is a big step forward over the E60. As for the looks...well that's down to personal opinion.....

What extra info does the HUD show? I've always wanted gear info and a way to adjust the overall contrast to lose the "orange box" effect.
Glad to hear there is a user way to change position. Its always bugged me on mine when in satnav mode, as I have to hunker down a bit to see the top info.
Enjoy the new ride. How much faster does it feel?

Now I'm jealous! My 535d E60 was a great toy, but replaced by my F10.
I did have a new 635d as a courtesy car recently, so nice to have the power back, but, as you state, more noisey than the F10.
Plus, the exhaust note on the F10 is much better.
How is your F10 vs the E60 - especially the 8 speed sport gearbox?

Congrats!
Those photos really confirms my belief that the M-Sport Package looks the best on dark-colored cars.

Lucky guy! Nice car. From the sounds of it, there's more to the car than its controversial aesthetics. Glad to see someone likes it for the gadgets and refinement. ... Still think it needs some bigger wheels though!
