for some reason I saw no mention of an M Sport package anywhere there...

And you know, its about friggin' time they made the split-folding rear seat a standard feature. Since they'll be competing against Lexus and Huyndai with the F10, BMW should know that their prime competitors offer this feature absolutely free of charge, on absolutely ALL vehicles. yeah, I know, I was surprised too

Usually 3 or more models years for the the US to get the "privilege" of being able to purchase the M-sport pack from our dealers as an installed package...im sure this time will be no different and once they're available in Europe, you'll have to buy the parts and have them painted and installed as add ons...

BMW does not compete with Hyundai nor Lexus-Toyota though, so dont hold your breath for any deals!

what everyone should be talking about is that other thread that shows that BMW will soon be offering tunes for the new TT engines, where the V8 remap gets bumped up to 448hp... So the bar has been set and we'll have to see where Dinan further pushes it...(see post#8) https://5series.net/forums/topic/956...kage-for-550i/

ZSP is the Sports Package, which is different from the M-Sport...

I my last E60 had split folding rear seats which I like a lot for carrying my road or triathlon bicycles. My F10 will have this feature also. They are great to have. However they have downside. The fixed rear seat acts as a structural diaphragm, making the car stiffer and stronger while reducing noise. If you don't get split folding rear seats the car performs better. There are clearly trade offs. I like the way that BMW offers the base car in a non-compromised version.

This is not true anymore. The same seat frame attached to the body is used whether you have fixed seats or removable. Rendering the point moot.

I doubt you'll see the M-Sport option until Mar 2011 at the earliest if not the fall of 2011.
