My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Here's four pics of black Nordic Euro spec F10's with OEM wheels from 17" to 20".

Definately better. But I like the M-Sport wheels the best out of them all. I'm definately upgrading next year. I hate wheels with a lot of spokes.....a real pain to clean.

Well, in my experience, solvent and water alone will not do an adequate job. You have to use a good wheel brush to get all the grease and brake dust out. Also, if you use the wrong solvent, you can damage your wheels.

This may not be the best way if you dislike getting your hands dirty but this is the best and most gentle way to clean the wheels IMO.
Be careful if you have sensitive skin - Always read what's on the bottles!
First, I spray the rim and tire thoroughly with wheel cleaner, Note. NEVER spray any water on them first unless they are covered with mud and such. If you have to rinse off any mud leave the wheels to dry a bit before you apply any wheel cleaner.
I wait a couple of minutes and then I use my hand to rub off the dirt. Sometimes I've been using an old towel soaked in wheel cleaner but usually I just use the hand.
For tougher dirt on the rims I use a bottle brush and for the tires I use a ordinary dish brush.
Then I just rinse everything off with water...
When dry, I finish off with spraying the tire with Turtle Wax Wet N Black Tire Dressing. Don't spray on the rims...
