Of all the car magazines covering the European industry I've always found CAR the most informed and correct with their reporting. All good news from everything I could read in that blow-up.

WHOOAA!! So they have all the specs of the engine already?? I didn't see anywhere in that article that says the pic is a rendering either. Did I miss that or is that supposed to be the actual pic??

It is probably going to be a whole new level of fun driving the new M5 in a way so that the super capacitors in the KERS system give the most boost at just the moments when you need the extra power - like exiting out of turns and such. Looks like this M5 will be more about what's under the skin, than the skin itself.


Maybe soon we'll see M5 coming back to an inline six again too

But they say that it will be lighter than the E60? I doubt that as the standard F10 has porked up 200 pounds from the E60.
The stories out are that the f10 M5 will use extensive aluminum for many part that are steel on the none M f10 which, along with the cf roof option, will reduce weight...but we'll have to see it to believe it...
