does anyone have a plausible explanation why the car in the pix has most body panels from the 7? Look close and compare to a 7 - you will see that the doors, the pillars, the taillights, the whole this is pretty much an f01. I don't think this is the 5

Nah, it will be presented early 2010 (Geneva car show March 2010) and when BMW present models in March deliveries normally talkes place in August for pre-production cars and then the real batch starts i September.
