In other words he's politely saying you don't know what you're talking about.

Now, this is funny: I was looking at some exterior shots the F10 and realized that even though the heading for the pic set says "2011 BMW 550i", the pics are actually filed with bmwblog under the 3 series bwhahaaa

See for yourself:

I`d hope the f10 would be a recall of the sharp and aggressive lines of the e39. If the badges and grill were changed to Kia or Hyundai and was in my driveway, I wouldn`t look twice. Like a few, I don`t like the f10. I traded my e60 for an e39 because of electrical problems. I`d hope to purchase an f10. But now... I think I`ll put a Parallels on all four corners of my e39 and purchase my wife an X5.

Stop following the trends and go back to the drawing board.

Further, NONE of the paint and rim choices are attractive. Drab and boring.

Given production and development lead times, car designs are finalized well before any vehicle ever makes its public debut.

Thus, it should have been reasonably apparent to you that Bangle was still at the helm when the F10 was designed, and when the F10 design was approved by BMW management.
Well that's pretty obvious and it must be pretty apparent to you, that BMW would not fire their old design lead, install a new new person and not let them have some say in the design of probably BMW's most important model.

As I said in my previous posts, the F10 was bound to be conservative after Bangle's screwed-up designs. BMW executive would have obviously told Van Hooydonk to do "what he could" to improve Bangles F10 design, starting with the removal of the "Bangle Butt".. (but we will never know what the pure Bangle F10 might have been - thank goodness).

In a couple of years BMW's design confidence will be restored under Hooydonk, he a is truly brilliant and inspiring car designer as well as an acomplished industrial designer leading deisgns for Nokia, Siemans, Ottis, Addidas etc. Quite a different resume from Bangle, whose only claim to fame was working for GM and Fiat, companies with vary different design objectives to BMW.

If Bangle was such a failure, how can BMW explain the raw profits and the best performance in the companies history with his designs? The e60 was revolutionary (I think). To trust a major automobile to an understudy of Bangle who has designed cell phones, sneakers, and a few concepts.... Hmmm...

Let's wait and see how this car will look with the M-Package! It might give it a more aggressive look.

I've been waiting months, even years, with many of you to see the F10 revealed, so today was a big day. It certainly looks like a very capable vehicle but I can't help but be disappointed with the styling, which admittedly is subjective. Say what you want about Bangle, BMW was stuck in a serious same jelly bean shape different size rut before he took the design helm, and I for one loved much of his work, primarily the E60.

Seeing the post bangle 3, 7, and now 5, it seems to me that BMW is back on the same jelly bean different size design track again. Heck I can hardly tell the difference between the three without a ruler. Kinda makes me glad I didn't wait for the F10 before selling my E60 and moving on...it doesn't move me.

If the Bangle but was so bad, why does the new S class sport it?

Look how lame the wheel designs are now. No more sucked in, concave turbine look. Pussies.
