My new 550i with xdrive hit the port Friday and it's my 4th BMW in 5 years. I'm not sure what all the talk about the steering and handling is about because after driving one and scaring the hell out of the poor sales rep I think it's the best 5 series yet. Traded in my 2009 535i and this is my third one now. I almost walked from BMW because of the top issues with my 650ic so my wife is now driving an E550 cabriolet. Can't wait to wring it out because the 100 extra ponies seem like more than enough to handle the extra 300 pounds. Can't wait to change my pictures!

I think your M-Sport package comes with Dynamic Handling. Anyways, Dynamic Handling, as part of Adaptive Drive, is supposed to give you a little better cornering ability in conjuction with the active roll bars. All I know is my car corners great...better than my last E60 545i from several years ago that I can remember... I have no complaints.

I finally took delivery today and all I can say is OMG what a ride! The extra ponies are a big plus! As far as handling and steering feel, it's equal to or better than my 2007 530 and 2009 535. I had serious summer performance tires on both of my earlier cars too. Driving the same highway today taking the 270 degree downhill exit at what was always the threshold for my 535 made me a little nervous (how do you explain guardrail rash on a one hour old car) but had me grinning ear to ear as I had to slow down to merge with the traffic doing 70. It is a different car but it's still one hell of a job done by BMW!
Congrats!
The TTV8 is one heck of a motor, isn't it?

Congrats beemerdreamer on your new F10.
Pics would be nice to see and also your wife's M-B's ones.
PS. The brand new F12/13 650Ci would suite her even better...

Congratulations! 550i xDrive is a beast. Acceleration is way better than my e60 550i, first thing I noticed. Instantaneous power delivery, no delays or hesitations.

I tried to get her into the new 650ic but she had a nightmare with her convertible top not working for 11 months on the last 650ic so it was a battle I would lose so why fight it. Her E550 cabriolet is one hell of a ride so I don't feel sorry for her one bit.
