Very true, but the bulk and the handling are more concerning to me than acceleration times (especially since they're nearly identical)

true, but even that is still subjective and dependent on the skill on the driver....

Agreed, but I figure on this forum and the fact that most here are enthusiasts, we should find a (hopefully) higher degree of skill than most anywhere else.

very true, and as stated in the other thread, you gotta test drive the f10 for yourself and make a decision based on your own measures....

Why did BMW change the engine from Twin Turbos to a single?

I wouldn't say that...I do think it's honestly due to efficient dynamics..

if it truely was just the hpfp and design of the TT I6 N54 engine, why did they continue to release the 335is with the N54 and not the N55....

IIRC: the next gen M3 will also get a beefed up version of the N54..so twin turbos will still be around....

Yep, doesn't the new 550 have TT? From what I've heard (2 coworkers have 2010 335s - 1 just got lemoned) they continue to have problems, so I am not sure why they are keeping it around. At least change the HPFP vendor, geez. One of my coworkers managed to get a sweet deal on a new X5 as a replacement for his 335 that got lemoned, BMWNA arranged for something close to $28k off sticker for him. Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just get a new vendor for the HPFP?
