Separately, do you think that opting for the M-sport suspension would result in handling that equals the E60 on sports suspension without too much of a compromise or is the standard suspension more than sufficient?
No, I ordered my car way before I could even see one. I was offered a drive on 20 March but it seemed pointless as I got my car at 9.00am on that day!
I am very happy with the balance of handling vs comfort. I am possibly the wrong side of 40 (but only just!) to worry too much about handling. I would not tolerate a car that was wallowy or not direct; the F10 on standard suspension is fine.

Thanks, Rich535d. Coming from a guy who has lived with the sport suspension on the E60, that is very reassuring conclusion.

Its not an age thing, I drive just as fast now as I did when I was 20.

Hi Rich
I ordered my 535i in Space Grey yesterday. I was disappointed by the lack of colours available. But I am still really in two minds about the colour. Are you still happy with it (it's very sunny in South Africa), I am also very keen on white and still have time to change the colour..

Thanks!
James

Congrats. I have mine with DDC and cannot compare to a standard suspension but you can feel a great difference between comfort mode and sport(+) mode. Comfort is really interesting on bad roads (we have quite a lot here in Belgium). Sport (or Sport +) appears to be softer than the M suspension on my E61, but it is reactive and stable. I really do like the opportunity to change this, no regret for having picked this option. And I totally agree with the 8 gears sport auto... brilliant (here coupled to the 30d).
