Rudy posted the F10 US press release which clearly states that a 6-speed manual will be offered on all models. He also posted a much longer marketing kit which looked to be designed for the European market. It states that the new 550 will come standard with the 8-speed auto and does not indicate that a stick will be an option for that model.

Does anyone know if the 550 6-speed is only for the US market (like the E60 M5) or if one of the two documents is wrong?

I only know that if the F10 550 does NOT come with a manual transmission, I will not come close to the F10 550...

Sorry for Kanye West'ing the thread a bit. Carry on

The way its written in the Germany F10 Catalogue, you can only get the 550i in Germany with the standard Auto or the optional Sports Auto.

The E60 535d is written in the same way in the E60 German Catalogue and that is not orderable with a Manual transmission, i.e. only standard Auto or the optional Sports Auto.

Looks like its a US option only
