While you cannot defy physics, namely weight in this case, electronics have mitigated weight to less of a performance factor. The Nissan GTR is a good example of a pig that can dance very well for its weight. So for 200 lbs more, I doubt performance will suffer.

The front frame of the e60 is aluminum which is expensive to manufacture. The F10 dropped the aluminum and substituted steel for economy.
