Congratulations on purchasing the best car in its segment. You made the right choice, because the 535i is superior to the A6.

I'm currently driving cars to buy something new to replace my 545i, and while I drove and liked a 2012 535i, I've yet to drive the A6. Why do you say the 535 is superior when everyone who's driven both and wrote about it says the A6 is better, and less expensive.

In my opinion, the Audi is a better car if you are looking for luxury mid size quiet cruiser. When I first test drove the A6, I really liked it until I drove the 535 (it took weeks before I found a 535 with the options I wanted to test drive). Yes, the 535 is more expensive for similar equipped car, but IMO is more fun to drive especially with m-sport package. Don't get me wrong, the A6 is not an inferior car, but for me and my wife (her car) , the 535i with the m-sport is more of what we were looking for. The wife did not really care for the pop nav and really didn't like the massive front grill on the A6, personal preference. If was going to be her car and she chose what made her happy. If she had chosen the A6, I would have supported her the same, granted my check book would feel happier every month. She will be driving the 535 98% of the time, I still have my 550. 535 & A6 both good cars, it came down to what our preferences were. We wanted more than just a car to get from point A to B. I believe wife's comment " the 535 felt more confident to her" sealed the deal. Good luck and have fun choosing ur new car.

That's for the feedback. That's how I choose my 325, and then my 545, by driving the competion, which back in 2003 and 2008 respectively couldn't touch the BMW "feel". The only thing I don't like about the F10 are those seats. Maybe it's just me, but at 5'9", my shoulders just don't fit in the seat, while the 2012 328 I drove hugged me at the shoulders nicely. Are there other seats that fit better?

I tested both the A6 and 535i and ultimately the bimmer was both more fun to drive, and inspired more confidence. Plus , the A6 has more of a generic look while the look of the 5 series is classic. But there is no doubt that the A6 is a very fine car.
