All the best of luck with it but with all due respect, last year Consumer Reports rated Jaguar the second most unreliable car you can buy in the US right behind Range Rover and slightly ahead of Mercedes.
In June 2007, JD Power reported that Jaguar scored well above BMW in intial quality ratings among new car buyers. Porsche was tops with Lexus second. Mercedes Benz rated 5th and Jaguar 6th. BMW was 21st.
In their 2007 vehicle dependability study - which measures problems among 3-year-old cars, BMW (7th) rated slight better than Jaguar (11th).
Land Rover was last among all brands in both studies.
The evidence is that Jaguar now builds quality automobiles.

I may be wrong but JD Power is supported financially by the companies it reviews. Hardly unbiased.

They are now part of an Indian conglomerate which I am hoping will make things better but for my money, I will go for what's proven and for what all other car manufactures aspire. I really hope that they gave you a hell of a warranty.
Usaul 50000 mile/ $ year BTB warranty
Only the first service is free though. So BMW is still king in that dept.

420 HP 400 lb ft.
0-60 sub 5
Half way between 550 and M5

One surprising thing is supercharged engines fuel economy is better than 550'.

I will keep you all posted. My next car will either be an XF-R or an F10 M5!

The MF is good, I suspect the residuals are not as good as the BMW's.

It's not owned by Ford anymore?
No, it's owned by the Indain TATA conglomerate. With those Indian managers kicking ass in the UK factories, the quality can only improve. Hopefully, they'll teach the Brits how to manage a business.

Not yet it isn't. It is still in Ford's hands. In fact, as of this week, the Tata deal was said to be in doubt due to concerns over future engine supply.

As for how the Brits run a business, we do just fine. The world's 4th largest company is British. The highest ranked Australian company on the Fortune Global 500 is 205th, and there are only 7 other Australian companies below it on the list. In fact, the combined revenue from the all of the largest Australian businesses from the Fortune Global 500 is significantly less than the largest British company.

Correct.. residual 56% V 60% for the 550 Now (12K PA). The imminent demise of the e60 is already eating into residuals but good old BMWFS will keep supporting it.
When I leased my 545 the residual was 62% and MF 0001 That was a great deal never to be repeated!

Trouble is all manufacturers do this. How much of the CS concept with be retained once cars based on it go into production? To give Jag some credit it is only the headlights and wheels that are markedly different on the concept vs the production XF, and the ALC concept accurately previewed 95% of the production XK.
