iPod help
My iPod worked fine in my e60 using my cord purchased thru BMW. It will play in my m5 but I have no display or control thru the car. Any guru out there for help?

are you using the Y cable from your e60? if so, you shouldn't be...you should be using the standard apple cable...

Yes it's the Blk one w the USB/aux conn. my iPod is the old style 80gig. This is the same cord I used in the other car. Don't see what made the diff.

if that doesn't work I'm wondering if it's an OS issue with your early gen IPOD...what OS is on that?
I have the first gen ipod vid 80gb...I use it basically as my music HD now....the whole sroll wheel on it seems so outdated, lol..but it's still a solid piece of tech...lol

Ok I found my white cord. It works. Thanks gene. Yep it's outdated but lots if good music on it
