Headlight Malfunction
Hi,
I noticed, by chance, that my Ring Lights (apologies not sure what their correct name is), is not working. See pic (this is in the dipped position, first position right, and not the Auto position).
Apologies, but I have a couple of queries .
Q1. Would this not show up on the dash as a warning - globe out or something ? I currently have no warning this was out, and only spotted it parking in front of a shop window :-) ?
Q2. I was told that this is not a bulb/globe issue but a Circuit Board integral to the light unit failure, can this be changed without changing the whole unit, as I was quoted roughly $1200 to replace whole unit ?
I have a 5 Series 520D F10 2011

If it was a bulb out, you would definitely get a notification. You might have inadvertently activated the European Parking Light feature.
