E60: 245/35/19 and 275/30/19

F07: 245/35/21 and 275/30/21
As you can see, BMW did a good job in making sure that our wheels or tires from the e60 would never fit the f10. They have basically jumped in size by 5% (see 19": 245/40/19 as supposed to 245/35/20)

It's not about the tire size but about the wheels ET's. The F07 has smaller ET's than the F10 meaning that the F07
wheel comes more out. Some may even want this.
And who says that the wheels and tires need to be purchased from the same place?
What I'm tring to say is that F07 21" 312's can be bought with 21" tires 245/30 and 275/30 (or 285/30) for the F10,
but do they fit, I don't know.
No ET info here: http://www.bmw.de/de/de/owners/acces...er/finder.html of course.
But as you rsyed I wanted to keep the ET's to OEM measures.

WOW,great combo of colors...AND I love
the ferric grey 312's. Like these better than the stock MSport rims.
Does the Euro MSport get suspension tweaks we here in the US do not receive? Looks like your car rides a bit lower (wheel gap less in front)than others I have seen

Fact is that the ET's between the E60 and F10 has changed so much that E60 wheels are not good for the F10.
It's not about the tire size but about the wheels ET's. The F07 has smaller ET's than the F10 meaning that the F07

front: 8,5 et 33 with 245/35/20
rear: 9 et 44 with 275/30/20
The 312s 21" for the f07 have the follwoing size:
front: 8,5 et 25 with 245/35/21
rear: 10 et 41 with 275/30/21
Compared to the f10, the f07 wheels on the f10 will stick out on the front by 8mm - this will work perfectly.
On the rear, the f07 will stick out by 16mm more than the standard wheels. THIS WILL NOT WORK!!! 13mm is max but not 16mm. You would need to work on your fenders.
The next problem is that your car will sit 1 inch too high if you use the f07 wheels on the f10. This is problem because the speedometer will be incorrect.
So what is the solution?
You could use 4 front wheels (8,5 et 25) with 245/30/20 - diameter should be ok, resulting in speedo being okö. Only problem here is that there seems to be only 245/30/20 tires with 91 weight index. this might not work on the f10...
puhhhhhh - so many decision issues

I don't think the US M-sport has the m-sport suspension. the m-suspenison results in a stiffer and lower ride..

I thought there was more space back there on the F10, but I am working off of pictures & numbers rather than Ric and yourself who can check for real

When you say max 13mm spacers, does that only refer to the 21" sizes or is that also the maximum with your current 20" set-up?
The other possibility could be to use a 275/25/21 rear tyre? But you have no doubt already calculated that one as well

Hi Pete,
regarding the 13mm - i am basing my assumptions on the standard oem f10 20" wheels for the rear with the size 9 et 44.
275/25/21 is not an option for me in austria because tires with anything thing less than 30 is not legal... unfortunately...
