You should be around a .4% difference with the factory setup which shouldn't be an issue. The one thing that I suspect but no on wants to hear is having a worn front gear. Everything you're describing is pointing to the gear if your tires are indeed good. I guess you would have to ask the previous owner how long was it driven on with different circumstances. Was there a traction that came on during ownership? Other than that I can't think of anything else. Was a transmission relearn performed when you did maintenance on it.
Transfer Box repair is a must I believe? But why on earth it did not do the pushing thing with the sh*t tyres?
