Hello, starting a thread on found failures of F10 vehicles

I have found out following errors on my car:
F10 525d
~15000 km

- Passanger seat rattles, mostly in speed around 120kmh

- Right door loudspeaker crackles "bass sound" (Hifi system, not prof.)

- Some Leather ("skin") har already released/worn away on Centre console Rear, around the air outlets (poor quality)

Have contacted my bmw dealer and they will make a check of above....

Wow worn leather at 15000 km is kind of

Seat rattles and speaker crackles I can understand - could be a defect in this one car, or limited to a small number of cars, but leather wearing out like this makes me think all those cows died in vain

They will fix it, just before FaceLift of F10
It`s brand new model, thing`s like not so good build qulity in first cars can happen.

Totaly agree, realy poor, but I don´t think it´s real leather around the center console (middle arm rest). It looks like a thin "leather imitation" on the original plastic parts.

I have noticed also the passenger seat rattle when it is "not in use"; the sound comes in certain speeds from the head restraint that is slightly vibrating.

I won't have my car 'till Jan but the demonstator I had for a day had a couple of problems. Anti trap faeature on passenger front door failed and window would not close properly. Also auto hold function wouldn't activate on a number of occasions.

And this is the reason I'll never buy the first year of ANY make's new model. There are always bugs to be worked out since they try to rush new models into production and get the ROI from the whole design process. I'd much rather wait a year or 2 and get one with the bugs worked out - hopefully

This is true with anything electronic or mechanical. Technology is always improving and if you want to be first and play, you gotta pay.

This is always a risk for early adopters like myself--iPhone, 3D-TV, computers, video games, cars,...you name it.

It can be a pain-in-the-ass sometimes but it's fun.

If you have money to burn, more power to you. Similar to what Pjinca expressed, I prefer cutting edge over bleeding edge.
