One of the down sides of the E60 has been the deployment of run-flats especially on lower profile tires, which in combination with BMW (Audi is the same) firmer suspension can make for on poor British road surfaces a overlay fim ride quality where you feel all the imperfections.
In European competitor tests the new M-B E Class and the Jaguar XF both outperform the E60 for driver comfort and compliance. The Jaguar they also state has v.good handling as a drivers car and the new modern styling means Jaguar are finally attracting younger drivers.

To me this has been the biggest single weakness of the E60 (ride) and one that would put me off buying the F10 if it shows no improvement.

+1 (00000), but I really doubt it - the car will weight the same as e60, I do not expect noticeable improvements in ride quality. The new Audi A6 will have rumoured weight reduction of cira 300 kg - this will def have a positive impact both on consumption and ride quality
wait and see, wait and see I guess
