Absolutely correct you are

But, for example, let's look at the 535 E60 and 535 F10 - F10 has the N55 single turbo engine (rated at 300hp) against E60's N54 with twin turbos (rated at the same 300hp). Assuming that the weight of the F10 will be somewhere about 300lbs or so (too lazy to do the research ) more than the E60's, you basically don't have to be a rocket scientist to make a conclusion here.

As for the run-flats, aren't the new generation Bridgestone RFTs supposed to be lighter? Not sure what the exact specs are - again, too lazy to do research - but you get the point I'm trying to make... actually, what is the point I was trying to make? LOL I forgot
Peak power output is the same, but I read somewhere that the N55 had more power under the curve than the N54. If this holds true, then they should put up similar numbers at the track.

I may be comparing apples/oranges, but the US spec E60 550i (auto trans.) is listed at 3,968 lbs. If the F10 550 is 1830kg, that's 4,026 lbs. - or only a 58 lbs. increase.

Also, BMW's F10 press releases go on and on about all the weight saving features of the F10.
