F10 550i Ordering Help
#1
Great forum; I've been reading for some time and now need some help.
I currently drive an M6 which will be coming off lease in April 2010. I want to order an all wheel drive 550i when they become available in the fourth quarter. I'm also hearing that if there is great demand for the 535ix that the production of 550ix's will be delayed. It's hard to know fact from fiction at this point.
Has anybody heard anything different regarding the production time frame for the 550ix and does anybody have any advice for how I can bridge the gap between my M6 lease end and the availability of the 550ix? I'm under the impression that I can't extend my current lease for that length of time and to be honest while the M6 is a great car I have become tired of the lease payments.
Thanks.

I have seen rumors of December for the 550ix. I would call BMW FS and see what they say. Leases can be extended if you have another on order typically. It may be difficult for that length of time.

you may be tired of the lease payments on your m6 but the demand for the F10 will be high, and in turn the lease payments will also be extremely high for the first few months.
