To me, it still looks better than the anthracite one does (against the beige) and although I thought that maybe in later production cars they'd begin to do a beige headliner, I saw a new 7 series on my dealer's lot the other day that also had the beige/oyster combination so that sort of convinced me that it's not a priority to BMW to fix this...
The dash, and the tops of the doors on the Beige interior is black. The Anthracite keeps with this black pattern. The Oyster headliner is severely out of place with the Beige interior. I wonder what genius at BMW made the decision to offer a grey with beige combination in the interior of these cars.

Can you not even order these cars with a Beige headliner as a custom order?

I really love Beige interior but this Oyster headliner business is just plain wrong.

I had a 2005 E61 and it had beige headliner, is this something new for the F10?

Actually I have driven like my grandma, and only 650 km this far.
I really do believe in the BMW recommendation of a 2000 km brake in period.

As I have the Sport 8-speed auto, the problem can easily be solved by pressing
the "Sport" button right to the shifter.

One question: Why did you order the Black floor mats for the Veneto Beige interior?? To keep them clean easier??
The car is all about contrasts!

Black and beige, black and silver, black and chrome.

Is this something they will be able to sort via a software update? Sounds to me like there is more emphasis on getting into a low gear for fuel economy reasons.
Must have something to do with the CO2 ratings, 'cause this gives only 137 CO2/km
which is very low for a 1735 kg car with a almost 200 hp and 400 Nm engine and a auto trans.

Also note, that the car is brand new and I have only driven it with the "Standard" auto settings.

Let's see what future will tell. The transmission may well adapt or then it will need a software
update from BMW.

This little engine has a lot of power, though.

Ric,

From your sig I can see that you have the Dirac system? Are you happy with it?

I'm very happy with the BMW HiFi Professional sound system, actually almost too happy;
can't play the bass and treble full as before

The 20" wheels is a must on a F10, everything else would look too small.
I'm a OEM guy and these wheels looks "BMW", not cheap.
But nor was the car, more than 60.000 ? (600.000 SEK) over here.

Did test drive new M-B 250cdi (5-speed auto!) but it is not nearly as nice as the BMW F10 is.
