My Ride: 2004 545i TITANIUM GREY II on Black Dakota Lthr, Comfort Seats, Sports PKG, Premium PKG, Active/Dynamic Drive, NAV, Winter Package.
It's a mini F10! Why is BMW doing that? Is GM's idea, sorry I mean BMW's idea 
that if you cannot afford to buy a 7 and you really want one you buy the 5 and if you cannot afford the 5 you get the 3 since they all look somewhat the same!

Doesn't all car manufactures steal ideas from each other? The rear of this new 3-series looks almost the same as the new E-Class!
Looks a bad Audi knock-off job. That grill looks hideous! 
...and I thought my last '09 Acura TL had a terrible nose job!
The rear end and headlights look OK, though....although the rear looks too much like a Kia Optima/Sonata.
(It'll be interesting to see how much gets actually carried over into production....the GS is in need of a serious makeover)

That's no surprise....everybody steals from each other nowdays. That's why car makers struggle so much with "corporate identity." Because it's so difficult nowdays to create something truly unique and at the same time, appealing, auotmakers try to make their own models resemble each other to create a "family." That's why the F10 looks like a smaller 7 series, and the F30 resembles a F10. But you see this with virtually every car company--Audi, Acura, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes, GM, Hyundai, etc. (For example, the new Elantra resembles a smaller Sonata; the new Infniti M37 resembles the G37; the new C-class resembles their E-class...the list goes on and on).
The most blatant copying nowdays has to be the A4....particularly those famous LED headlights. Every frickin new car now has some form of LED strip in the headlights...almost all of them bad. At least BMW kept the corona rings and stayed classy.

well, i think it looks great (other than lower front bumper), much better than current version..
