I guess Lexus now is taking BMW's spot for BOLD designs. Did any of you see the following concept? Not bad for a JAP! I think this car is going to be ass kicking one. I remember few years ago the CEO of Lexus made the following comment: "Within a decade Lexus will be able to compete with the German engineering" I think it's taking them less than a decade, but we have to see the car on the road first. I know looks is not everything, but it's not a bad start....

...and I thought my last '09 Acura TL had a terrible nose job!
The rear end and headlights look OK, though....although the rear looks too much like a Kia Optima/Sonata.
(It'll be interesting to see how much gets actually carried over into production....the GS is in need of a serious makeover)

Here's some more pics closer to the actual production version:
Whatever you think of the new design, one thing's for sure, it'll continue to sell like hotcakes.....the 3 series ALWAYS does.

Obvious, and not a surprise, that the family resemblance across the 7, 5, and 3's is getting closer. Will be interesting to see how it looks in person.
I've heard the new 3 will be closer in size to the old 5 (e60) with a wider selection of engines in the USA including a turbo4. What will be interesting is how potential buyers react to that drivetrain in an entry-level, but not inexpensive, BMW.
