The all new X1 which is built in Germany, I think has all the combination of the F01 & F10 design. The front is F01 and the rear is F10! Any thoughts?

From what I've understood, the X1 is replacing the X3 and BMW is soon to be introducing a new X4.

Where did you hear that?

X1 is a new market for BMW as it's smaller than the existing X3 (and technically a 1-series); the new X3 will turn up next year.

The new X3 is due to be released either later this year or early '11. It will approach the size of the current X5. The X5 will be replaced in a couple of years by a larger model to add distance from the new X3.

I may be wrong on this but I think to have read on multiple occasions that the X1 is based on the 3 series platform - just a shorter version than the one used on the coming X3
